Hello I’m Tonna & welcome to Connecting in Faith.
I’m here because I want to help. I want to share my experiences with others in hope that they may not make the same mistakes I have made. If I can help ONE person, it will be worth it. But most importantly, I am here because I believe without a doubt that THIS is my calling; to share with others my experiences on how God has guided me through life.
Let me start by telling you a little about myself…
I am almost 60 years young and have two grown children. I love the beach and being outdoors.
Regarding my faith journey…
I was 8 years old when I was saved. At the time, I am not sure my eight year old brain really understood what it meant to be “born again…” But it was God, that I know. Why else would a little girl sitting in Sunday evening church service answer an altar call? I mean, I probably didn’t even totally understand what the pastor was preaching.
God was definitely at work.
It’s been 51 years since then and it’s been nothing short of a roller coaster ride (mainly due to my strong will.) The short version of this story? Well let me just say that it has been a long road to where I am now, and I am still not where I want to be in my walk with God. But praise Him that I am not where I used to be. Let me remind you that our Gis a loving and forgiving God!!! Praise you Lord.
I am still learning everyday and I am looking forward to sharing the long version of my story with you.
