It was a beautiful Saturday morning…
I was sitting in the car repair shop waiting to get new tires on my vehicle. While I was waiting, the man at the service desk, was struggling to keep up with all the phone calls coming in. He was very friendly and with every phone call he said the same thing, “we are very busy today but if you just be patient with me, I will take good care of you”.
This started me thinking about how our Heavenly Father is with us. We are always asking Him to give us things, to do things for us and we want it right away. Sometimes, He will answer right away but, most of the time He does not. Instead He asks us to be patient and wait on Him and know that He will take care of us. God is never too busy to listen to us or care for us. It is difficult to wait but when we are patient and wait on Him, He usually answers with something better or more that what we asked for. He knows what is best for us. That is what we should be asking for, His best.

When we are born again…
We are given patience, it is one of the fruits of the Spirit. We need to receive this gift and practice it. I find it very difficult to be patient. I have been impatient as long as I can remember. I have gotten better at it. I just keep praying and asking God to help me everyday. Some people are just born with patience oozing out of them. I have been fortunate to be around a few people like that in my life. I found them to be good examples. But our greatest example is God, He loves us so much and is so patient with us. I thank God everyday for that.
Maybe you have a hard time with patience, as I do, just keep praying and asking for God’s guidance and help. I also find it helpful to find books by reputable christian authors on the subject. God’s Word is the best book to go to for help on anything you need, just keep at it and you will have breakthrough, I promise.
